Shipping Information:
We ship using USPS for standard packages. We reserve the right to use other delivery companies if warranted. Some whips and other products require an oversized fee which will require additional shipping fees.
Please allow 2 to 5 days for regular processing of in stock items. in general you should receive an email notifying you when the package ships. Some items may have to ship from an alternate location and may take longer to process. We will try to inform you of any delays but this is not always possible. If order has not been processed within 2 weeks please contact us.
Some items will be drop shipped directly from the manufacturer and will be shipped using their standard method. These incur no additional charge.
There are a few items that the buyer has the choice of drop shipping, which can save time on shipping. When a choice is available, there is a drop ship fee required by the manufacturer and this will be indicated on those items. When this is available your item will arrive approx a week earlier than if the received and reshipped from Chrysalis Acres.
Carts, wheels, shafts and large items will be shipped via Freight and will be charged accordingly.
Custom Item shipping: most custom items will be delivered within 3 wks of order date. There are some items, most usually bits, that may take up to 8 weeks. If you have a custom item you need by a specific date, please notify us in the comments section of your order, or by email or by phone (207 865-2047). Often we can can accommodate such requests. Occasionally a rush charge will need to be paid and there are some times when getting a custom item to you by your required date is not going to be possible. We deal with manufacturers in England, Germany, Scandinavia, Australia and are always expanding.
Custom Items
Due to the nature of a large array of choices for carriage driving turnouts, many items can be customized. this includes, but isn't limited to driving aprons, bits, whips, ear bonnets, browbands and horse apparel. Custom items must be paid in full before work is begun.
CUSTOM ITEMS ARE NOT RETURNABLE. Please double check your colors, measurements and sizes carefully.
Returns Information:
In general you may return any item you are not completely satisfied with for a refund of item price minus any CC/PayPal processing fees. Please contact us in advance of a return. Exceptions are described below. Items must be returned in new condition, and able to be restocked. If an item is returned in used condition (dirt, animal hair, sweat marks, staining or other damage), the item will be sold as a consignment and you will receive a refund when the item sells, less 30%
For health reasons we cannot accept new bits for full returns. A bit that you have tried and decided is not working for your horse may be returned for Chrysalis Acres to sell as a consignment bit. You will be refunded 65% of the original purchase price. Pre owned bits in same condition as when purchased, may be returned. Please contact prior to returning. Please make sure the size and style are correct for your horse.
We do not accept returns on custom items. Please make sure the size, materials and colors are correct before placing order.
If an item is defective or incorrect please contact us prior to returning the item.
Payment Info:
Payments are collected at the time the order is placed. Custom Orders and Out of Stock items may take longer to ship but payment is due in full at time of order. If you would like to cancel an Out of Stock item prior to shipping you will be refunded the price of the item and shipping if no other items have been/will be shipped for the order.
Due to new CC/PayPal processing fee rules where they do not return processing fees, any refunds will be minus the processing fee.
